Silicon Carbide (SiC) Technology – the Whats, Whys and HowsIf you have questions about silicon carbide (SiC) technology, this session will cover why SiC devices are attractive for power electronics, introduce SiC MOSFETs and SiC JFETs, and differentiate their benefits. The operation of JFET cascode will be explained, including its unique benefits compared with conventional SiC MOSFETs, plus the main application areas of these innovative products.
  2. Silicon Carbide (SiC) FET Design Tips for Fast SwitchingSilicon carbide (SiC) FETs have great potential to improve power density, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. However, power loop stray inductance requires special attention to fully exploit the fast-switching capability of SiC FETs.   3. An Overview of the FET-Jet Calculator for Power DesignsQorvo’s FET-Jet Calculator is valuable early in the design cycle. For most topologies, the calculator uses closed-form equations to estimate the power loss of each device in the circuit, drawing from a database of device characteristics to arrive at power semiconductor efficiency and operating temperature estimates. This webinar shows how device data are extracted from online datasheets, how calculations are made and the differences between modulation methods for certain topologies.

By providing four new splits in DOCSIS 4.0, the spectrum range can be from 5MHz all the way to 684MHz—a challenge when designing amplifiers for upstream applications.
